How to register as a supplier on ADGPG

Abu Dhabi government entities buy through the Abu Dhabi Government Procurement Gate (ADGPG). To take part in sourcing and contract processes you must register on the SAP Ariba platform used for ADGPG, as the DED supplier guide states. This guide follows the official ADGPG online registration guideline and the DED and non-DED supplier guides.

The short version

  1. Gather documents. The online guideline lists a valid trade licence, tax certificate, official bank letter (IBAN), authorization letter, and an ICV certificate if applicable. [1]
  2. Start on ADGPG. Open the Abu Dhabi Government Procurement Gate at adgpg.gov.ae and follow the registration instructions on that site. [1]
  3. Complete and wait for review. Enter company details, submit the request, and keep the email acknowledgement. The online guideline says the DGS supplier registration team reviews the application, then you receive a confirmation email with a username and password and open the ADERP link to log in. [1]
  4. Licence type matters. ADGPG publishes separate SAP Ariba guides for suppliers with an Abu Dhabi DED licence and for suppliers with a non-Abu Dhabi licence. Use the matching guide. [2][3]

Why registration comes first

The DED guide says that to participate in sourcing and contract processes of Abu Dhabi government entities you must register in the SAP Ariba platform. [2] It also notes that only one request is required for registering to all Abu Dhabi government entities, and that you must not submit multiple requests unless the previous request is rejected. [2]

The guide lists supplier registration statuses: invited, in registration, pending approval, pending resubmit, registration denied and registered (the supplier registration has been approved). [2] A separate list of qualification statuses runs from qualification not started to qualified, which means the supplier's qualification has been approved. [2]

Documents to prepare

Before you open the form, collect the pre-registration documents listed in the short version above. The guideline marks the ICV certificate as needed only if applicable. [1]

For the supplier request, the DED guide lists the Abu Dhabi DED licence and a tax registration certificate, or a valid justification on company letterhead in case of non applicability. [2]

For the supplier registration stage, the same guide lists the Department of Economic Development licence, a tax registration number certificate, a bank confirmation account letter issued from the bank, and an authorization letter on company letterhead for the person authorized to provide supplier information. [2]

The online guideline notes that a UAE IBAN is 23 digits long and that the system checks the entered IBAN against the attached bank letter. [1]

Online registration steps (overview guideline)

  1. Visit adgpg.gov.ae and open the registration path shown there. [1]
  2. Enter basic company information and complete every mandatory field. [1]
  3. Add commercial licence details (certificate number, certifying agency, expiration date) and any note to the registration team. [1]
  4. You can save the request for later; copy the link from the confirmation message so you can return to the same draft. [1]
  5. Add the company address (for DED Abu Dhabi licences, enter the address as per Onwani geo address as the guideline instructs). [1]
  6. Add company and contact details, then the products and services that match your business and the activities in your company’s trade licence. [1]
  7. Add banking details, then the company profile: business type and legal form, establishment date, owner details with each partner’s percentage, operation sector and MSME (micro, small and medium enterprise) type. [1]
  8. Answer the ICV and qualification questions, enter experience details, and add attachments. [1]
  9. Submit the registration request and keep the email acknowledgement. [1]

After you submit

DED versus non-DED Ariba guides

Suppliers with a valid Abu Dhabi DED licence follow the process in the DED guide: the guide describes six stages covering the supplier request, registration questionnaires (including payment and bank), and qualification. [2] Suppliers without a valid Abu Dhabi DED licence follow the non-DED guide, which says to ask the Abu Dhabi government entity you deal with to create the supplier request on your behalf in SAP Ariba. [3] Both guides are written for the SAP Ariba Supplier Lifecycle and Performance Management module and SAP Ariba Network used by ADGPG. [2][3]

Practical tips

Questions

What documents do I need before starting ADGPG registration?

The online guideline’s pre-registration list includes a valid trade licence, a tax certificate and an official bank letter (IBAN); the short version above gives the full list. [1] Suppliers with an Abu Dhabi DED licence should also check the required documents section of the DED supplier registration guide, which lists documents for the supplier request and for supplier registration. [2]

Where do I start the registration?

Start on the Abu Dhabi Government Procurement Gate website at adgpg.gov.ae and follow the registration instructions published there. The online guideline says that is where the registration link and next steps are shown. Keep the acknowledgement email after you submit. [1]

What happens after I submit the online request?

The online guideline says the DGS team reviews your application, then emails a username and password and you log in through the ADERP link. [1] Separately, the DED Ariba guide says after request approval you get an email asking you to register on SAP Ariba Network, with statuses such as pending approval, pending resubmit, registered and qualified. [2]

Does an Abu Dhabi DED licence change the process?

Yes. Both Ariba guides classify suppliers by licence: Abu Dhabi DED (AD-DED) licence or non-Abu Dhabi DED licence. [2][3] The DED guide says only suppliers with a valid Abu Dhabi DED licence should submit the self-registration request, and a company with a non-Abu Dhabi DED licence should contact the Abu Dhabi government entity. [2] The non-DED guide says that entity creates the supplier request on your behalf in SAP Ariba. [3]

Is there a qualification step after registration?

Yes. The DED guide says the process has 6 stages across supplier request, supplier registration and supplier qualification, and its supplier status runs from invited to registered to qualified. [2] Its supplier qualification statuses include qualification not started, in qualification, pending qualification approval, qualified and qualification expired. [2]
